Catherine Armstrong Reznikoff, PhD passed away on September 18th at the age of 85, with her husband William and her children Sarah, Joseph, and Charles by her side.
Cathy was a faculty member and academic researcher in the Department of Human Oncology from 1986 until 1999; also serving as a Professor Emeritus until 2000 in the field of Cancer Biology. Dr. Reznikoff was the first woman to earn a PhD from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and earned international recognition for using novel techniques to define genetic changes in transitional cell carcinoma. She is referenced in nearly 90 published scientific paper over the course of her career.
Her personal life was just as full and accomplished as her professional career – fostering more than fifty children throughout her life and making an incredible impact on them, their families, and all who knew her.
