Although research productivity is not required for successful completion of our program, there are numerous opportunities and resources available for those who are motivated to participate in research and other scholarly activities. As part of the 21-month long Longitudinal Research and Clinical Project Development Rotation (LEADER), residents select and lead an innovative quality improvement or clinical research project under the direct supervision of a DHO faculty mentor(s). LEADER is optimized for resident wellbeing and career development by providing opportunities to build practice quality improvement, research, and technical communication skills in a structured manner with dedicated faculty support.
